How amazing was the sunny weather over the Bank Holiday Weekend? I absolutely enjoyed it and made sure to wear those summer dresses and outfits I’d safely tucked away in my wardrobe. I also managed to shoot lots of new content in the amazing weather and you’ll definitely be seeing a lot more summery content on the blog and my Instagram - even if our love affair with the sun is currently on rocky ground and most likely over.
In keeping with the summery theme; I thought I’d share this outfit that I shot a couple of months ago believe it or not. It’s a simple summer outfit made up of basics that every girl needs in her wardrobe. I mean who doesn’t need a denim skirt, a pair of stunning sunnies and a crisp white top? They’re all basics that can work together but can also work styled with other items in your wardrobe and are definitely pieces worth investing in.I love this cute denim skirt which is also available in white FYI. It’s a great A-line shape with little side slits that add a little something extra and it’s in a nice soft denim which is super comfortable for the hot weather. I can’t wait to wear this skirt on my holibobs with a nice floaty top or cami and some espadrille sandals.
For this outfit however I wore it with a long sleeve top and some black booties because believe it or not it was actually quite chilly on this day. I also added a pop of colour with my red snake print bag from Zara and my red cat eye sunnies from The Accessories Bureau. I thought this tied up the outfit quite nicely and added some fun and interest to an otherwise monochrome outfit. What do you think?
