It’s Trench Coat Season

Dare I say, it's trench coat season! The sun has been making frequent appearances and although the rain and clouds are putting up a strong resistance, spring is around the corner.

The trench coat is a wardrobe staple and more so in Spring and Autumn time when the weather is a little bit more mild. Last year we didn't get much of a spring in England and it felt like we segwayed straight from winter to summer so I didn't get to buy a trench coat but this year, with so much choice on the high street I was not going to miss out.

10 Trench Coats Under £100

I purchased This amazing stone coloured trench from H&M for only £24.99 and it has everything I look for in a trench. It's long lined, double breasted with a belted waist and has lovely full lapels. It also comes in a darker brown and at this price tag I am so tempted to buy that version too.

The best part about Trench coats for me is how easy they are to style. You can literally throw on a trench coat over a jeans and t-shirt combo and instantly look put together. You can wear it open or belted, layered over a blazer or hoodie and even style it off the shoulder for a more modern take. The options are endless and with so many ideas you'll be sure to get a lot of wear out of your trench no matter how much you spend on it.

I styled my trench coat over a tie-waist mini dress from Femme Luxe Finery and added some faux snake skin boots that I picked up in the Bershka sale. The trench coat was not only practical and a good choice for protection against the elements but it also elevated an otherwise simple outfit. I'm looking to wearing this trench coat so much more with some spring accessories over the coming months to add a dose of chic to my outfits.

Are you a fan of the trench coat? How will you be styling it this Spring?
