Getting Inventive With Cadbury (AD)

Chocolate - Cadbury Dairy Milk (Of Course!)

You can’t buy happiness but you can buy chocolate. And that’s kind of the same thing right? Well I certainly think so. I mean seriously who doesn’t like chocolate? It’s life’s little slice of joy and even scientists say that eating chocolate increases the level of endorphins which in turn lessen pain and decrease stress. Chocolate is definitely more than just a sweet and is something that a lot of us would associate with happy times and momentous occasions in our lives like tucking into a sharing box at Christmas with our friends and family. The only thing better than tucking into a bar of chocolate is creating your very own bar in my opinion and this is why I’m writing this post today.

One of my favourite chocolate brands Cadbury, who have been making delicious chocolate for over 100 years have an exciting campaign going on from the 1st to the 31st of July. This campaign is all about innovation and bringing something new to the table which is something Cadbury have done successfully for decades. Cadbury are offering everyone in the UK and Republic of Ireland the chance to create their very own Cadbury Dairy Milk bar and I couldn’t be more excited!

It’s the ultimate chance to indulge your inner child and create something tasty and I mean how hard could that be with over 90,000 possible flavour combinations to choose from? Chocolate fans from all over the UK and Republic of Ireland can submit up to 3 ingredients to include in their chocolate bar for the chance to be picked as one of 3 finalists who will get the chance to visit Bournville, the home of Cadbury. There the finalists will work with Cadbury experts to make their dream bar a reality before all three bars are put to a nationwide vote. The bars will then be made available for purchase for approximately 12 weeks in supermarkets across the U.K. and Republic of Ireland in 2019 and one creation will be crowned the ultimate winner. The winning bar will then become the latest and most exciting addition to the Cadbury Dairy Milk range as a limited edition chocolate bar and will be sold in supermarkets for a minimum of 12 months! Not only will the winner get bragging rights but they will also receive a year’s supply of their delicious creation. How great is that?

My favourite Cadbury chocolate bar is a Cadbury Dairy Milk Fruit and Nut bar. I love how it has the smooth sweet chocolate, crunchy nuts and soft fruit; a true flavour and texture sensation. If I were to invent my own bar of Cadbury chocolate I would definitely create something a lot like the fruit and nut bar but a little bit more elevated. Something with different textures and tastes that marry well to produce a tasty treat. The 3 ingredients I would pick for my chocolate bar would be white chocolate chips for their milky and light flavour, chewy cherries for their tartness and to give balance to the sweetness and creaminess of the chocolate and lastly I’d add some some cashew nuts for some crunchy texture and nutty flavour. This chocolate bar embodies some of my favourite ingredients and textures in one bar and I think the most suitable name for it would be the Cadbury Dairy Milk Flavour and Crunch Bar. Okay so maybe naming things isn’t my strong suit but what do you think of my chocolate bar? Would you buy it?

I’d love for all of you lovelies to head over to www.cadburyinventor.com and have a go at inventing your ultimate chocolate bar. Not only do you get to create the chocolate bar but you get to name it and give a little insight into what inspired your creation. Who knows, I could be eating your chocolate bar creation this time next year!

If you’d like further details about the Cadbury Inventor campaign you could also head over to Cadbury’s Facebook for more information. I’m super excited and I’m very much looking forward to seeing what chocolate bar will be voted the nations favourite and stocked in stores all across the U.K. and Republic of Ireland because as I said, you can’t buy happiness but you can buy chocolate and that’s basically the same thing!
