Hey dolls! I'm currently sat in Starbucks at Dubai International Airport writing up this post for you guys after a 5am wake up call followed by a 6 hour flight. I must really love you lot. I mentioned previously in part 2 of my Izabel London series that I would be away for a few weeks so if you read that post my travels wouldn't come as a surprise. I'm currently en route to my home country Zambia after 12 whole years and I must say I'm both excited and anxious in equal measures. Luckily I have my fiance by my side to share in this experience with me and I'm sure we'll have a great time. We haven't argued yet so that in itself is a good sign lol.
Travel ramblings aside I thought I'd share this cute suited look from Missguided. It consists of some white very flattering paperbag shorts and a jacket with a twist. It has an open front with no lapels, bell sleeves and ties; totally FASHURN and on trend. I'm not usually a blazer sort of girl let alone a suit girl but when I saw that these shorts came with a matching jacket it was a no-brainer. I thought it would be great to wear the items together or as separates and both items will work for day and night too. Getting that bang for my buck and you know that's just how I like it.
Playful but put together was the look I was going for with this suit. I thought that was the best way to represent myself so I added some flat white plimsoles to make the look a lot more casual. For the playful factor I went with this cute "not your baby" slogan tee from H&M and a red lip. Red and white are such a match made in heaven and I thought the two colours worked well together. I love that the look is not so stuffy and serious and I love that it's flirty and fun. Perfect for a spot of lunch with the girls and with a quick shoe change it would be perfect for a date night. I'd personally pair the suit with some minimal heels for the latter but some wedges or caged sandals would work just as well too. What do you think?
I hope that you like this look as much as I do because I'm completely besotted with it. I've linked some similar styles of short-suits for you guys to have a look at and shop so I hope you are inspired and that you recreate this look before the sun completely says its goodbyes. On that note I'm going to say MY goodbyes and finish this here Frappucino before I start prepping for my connection to Johannesburg where I'll be catching another flight to Zambia aka Zed lol. I'll catch you up in my next post but until then take care!
