Every spring/ summer wardrobe needs a white dress. It's like one of those summer must haves! I literally get a white dress every year to add to my collection but this year I knew that I wanted a white dress with a difference. I've already got quite different styles of white dresses ranging from body-con to skater dress styles but after having a quick look through my wardrobe, I saw that I was missing a shirt-dress style or something more sports-luxe. The hunt was on and after a few minutes searching on trusty ASOS I found this gorgeous mesh overlay dress from Noisy May. I absolutely love the brand Noisy May. They have the best and most interesting pieces and not to mention some great quality denim. Now y'all know I love me some denim so any brand that can do it well is alright by me.
This mesh dress is so simple yet very interesting and I love absolutely everything about it from the round neck to the length and shape. I made sure to purchase a petite version because I didn't want the dress to swamp me and I'm so glad I did because it hits me just at the right place below my knees. This makes it the perfect length to style with both heels and flats and as you can see I styled it with the latter.
Pairing the dress with these amazing woven Adidas superstars from JD Sports really played up the sport in sports-luxe but still kept it fun and cute. I especially love the colour palette of the trainers which I further played up with a matching bag to keep the outfit from looking too clinical. I absolutely love JD Sports for trainers and I especially love that their women's trainers are just as cool and funky as the men's ones. Let's face it guys get all the best trainers which can be super annoying but with JD Sports the women can look fresh and funky too.
Trainers are however not to everyone's taste and if you happen to be one of those ladies that feels like trainers aren't for them fear not because this dress looks cute with heels too. I tried it on with my leopard print courts and my colour block pumps and it looked great! I can't wait for the weather to cheer up some because I definitely plan on wearing this dress a whole lot more and I plan to use my shoes and accessories to switch it up each time. How would you style this mesh number? Heels or trainers?
