I love a wardrobe classic. Black skinny jeans, leather jacket or a little black dress; I'm all for it. More so if it has some kind of little twist or detail that sets it apart from the rest. That being said, this classic white shirt from Apricot Clothing was a no-brainer for me. Immediately I saw it, I had to have it for a number of reasons. I just love that it's a little bit too cool for school with it's boxy shape, bat wing sleeves, cross back detail and of course the sassy pockets. I mean what more could one want from a shirt? Oh I know, to have it in every colour humanely possible.
I can totally see this shirt taking pride of place in my spring/summer wardrobe. Firstly because of it's ease and secondly because of it's versatility. This is a shirt that can be a little bit serious and office appropriate styled with some smart trousers and a pair of loafers but as you can see in today's post it can also work for casual days. I styled it with some light wash blue jeans in the infamous straight-leg style which is all over the high street at the moment. I also decided to bring a little fun to the party in the form of these cute fringe sandals from Just Fab UK. They're just so cute and fun and such a statement piece that work so well with a crisp white shirt. I finished the look off with a sleek bun, a red lip and some sunnies and viola! I had a trendy, fun but sophisticated outfit which works for both day and night.

With so many classic white shirts with a twist readily available, I suggest investing in a couple for your spring/summer wardrobe. Furthermore, I suggest going for a twist that you love. Ruffles, off the shoulder details or cropped, just have fun with it. Classic doesn't have to mean boring! And trust me you won't regret it. I guarantee you'll get a lot of wear out of your white shirt whatever it's style. And as an added bonus, a white shirt will see you through to next summer. Win!
