Summer is beginning to wind down and if the lack of sun and the constant appearance of rain and chilly weather wasn't indication enough; then the autumn clothing flooding the shops Certainly is. I don't know about you guys but I always get excited to update my wardrobe when summer begins to come to an end. This time around my excitement levels are double what they usually are because Matalan got in contact and asked me to pick out an item from their amazing knitwear range to help me get autumn ready.
Choosing just one piece was difficult but I thought I'd go for something cosy enough for the autumn weather but still light enough that I can rock it whilst the weather is in transition. Enter this amazing knitted midi dress! It comes in two colour ways; black and brown and it has everything I need to help me transition into the colder months whilst still looking fab and on trend. It's made from a light knit and has long sleeves that are absolutely essential to keep you warm on those chillier days. I also love that this dress is midi length with a short side slit to add some balance and also a little bit of sex appeal. This is a piece that will be a great addition to my autumn wardrobe and perfect for layering over or under other items in my wardrobe once the temperature begins to drop significantly.
While I'm on the topic of Matalan I also thought it would be great to share an amazing site called Codesuim which is great for discount codes for sites such as Matalan and Debenhams. I mean who doesn't love a good discount right? They are so many active discount codes for Matalan at the moment including their top offer which gets you £20 off your purchase when you spend £150. If you're are a student and you're not looking to spend quite as much then you can take advantage of the student offer which gets you 10% off with an NUS Extra card. This applies online and in store so get shopping!
Got a little bit distracted there but as I said who doesn't like a good discount and you know I had to share this amazing finding with you guys. Anyway, back to the issue at hand and back to this amazing dress and transitional outfit.
On this particular day I styled this knitted number with some wrap up heels from Ego as it was quite warm but on colder days or nights I'd pair this dress with some ankle boots, a fedora and perhaps a long coat. What do you guys think of this midi dress from Matalan? How would you style it for Autumn? For more on trend knitwear styles; I'd suggest checking out Matalan's knitwear guide which I guarantee will have something for everyone. Enjoy the rest of your week loves xx
